In this interview, we are pleased to speak with our distributor Fred (Frédéric Gonzales-Moran), owner and manager of Promesser and Promesser GmbH. For over two decades, Promesser has been a distributor of Swedcut® doctor blades, serving regions including France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Algeria, and Morocco.

What is your favorite Doctor blade from Swedcut?

It depends on the customer’s needs. MicroKote G and H7 are exceptional for rotogravure printing, while M-Flex Plus is ideal for flexo. However, MicroKote G is my favorite. Over the years, this blade has evolved to meet market demands in terms of quality and productivity. The newer H-coated blades (H7 & H9 Plus) have filled a gap that MicroKote G couldn’t satisfy, and I believe the H series will achieve the same success as MicroKote G.

Which Doctor Blade is most commonly chosen by customers?

MicroKote G.

What do customers appreciate most about Swedcut blades?

There are so many cases depending on the blade type, but to summarize, customers value the improved printing quality and productivity gains.

What is the true value of Swedcut according to you?

Swedcut’s true value lies in its consistency with market demands and its commitment to maintaining high quality.
